The teaser here is the Grandma Linahan story.Ĭan you share any information on it, if not of the specific yacht then a similar one. As you may have come to expect from me there will be stories to personalize the experience. I’m inviting you in to see more of the detail of feeding people at sea. Life is a learning experience and when we stop learning we are dead.Īs we have done before I’ll share my satellite tracker address so y’all can follow along. I’m certainly a better cook than I used to be. I’ve been doing this for twenty years but there is always more to learn. If someone has ideas I’m certainly open to them. I hope this process provides some entertainment to the HO community. I have a ton of disposable casseroles in stock at home and will bring 8x8s and 9x13s. I’m bringing my stick blender and a good knife. Some more is coming but I haven’t seen it yet. I have four small burners and a small oven. When we leave the dock on 1 Nov we have no chance to shop again until we reach USVI. The ground rules are based on physics and reality. What I plan to do in this thread is update the link periodically and share the thinking process. Some of the cook ahead (lasagna, pasta sauce) are already done so the ingredients won’t ever make it to the shopping list. The planning document will never be perfect because I will be buying stuff for some of the cook ahead entrees. I don’t necessarily have all the ingredients for the meals and I don’t necessarily have a meal for all the ingredients. There are way too many meals on there and that will be trimmed down as feedback comes in from crew. In the document the organization is dinner entrees, other things for lunches, and a breakfast plan. I have a crew confirmed and the call has gone out for allergies, likes, dislikes, etc. Here are two pages of the notes for this trip. These are working documents and are not glamorous. This trip will be Annapolis MD to St Thomas USVI. I keep notes that are now about eighty pages of different numbers of people for different projected lengths of time. I thought I’d share the food part of a yacht delivery in some more detail than I have before, unless I forget.
